Without a battery: all shutter speeds, including B, still work; the light meter does not. [1]

Make sure the light meter is switched off before you change lenses, so the aperture mechanism doesn’t get damaged. [1]

The self-timer has its own release button; the regular shutter release still fires immediately, even when the self-timer is wound. [1]
