Ausgeknipst is a promise: "Your beloved camera? The feeling of quality in your hands, the precision of the mechanics, the rich click of the mirror – you don’t have to give any of that up"
Every analog camera has its own story. Many are over 40 years old today and have been through a lot. Weddings, birthday parties, holidays in Italy, snapshots on a walk. All these stories still want to be told today, but too often the story of an analog camera ends up in a drawer.
Usually it’s a small problem: a battery that no longer exists. A spare part that’s impossible to find. The camera becomes a display piece or a dust collector. But it doesn’t have to be that way!
We believe: These treasures don’t belong on a shelf. Your camera deserves a second life – and our mission is to give it that.
We are Anto & Vladi. Two friends, camera lovers & engineers. Like many startups before us, Ausgeknipst was born out of necessity. We love our cameras and want to preserve them. Our passion for analog photography met technical know-how. From this combination, Ausgeknipst was created. We love diving into old camera technology and developing precise, reliable solutions for problems that disable cameras.
Each of our products is a solution to a problem long ignored by the big manufacturers. Every one of our parts is designed to make a beloved camera fit for everyday use. Our parts bridge the gap from classic camera technology to the here and now – developed and made with modern manufacturing processes in Germany and shipped worldwide.
So if you also think your camera still has a few stories to tell, you’re in the right place. Feel free to check out our blog, subscribe to our newsletter, and become part of the global analog community by following us on YouTube & Instagram. We’re also active on Reddit, various Facebook groups, APHOG.de, and other forums specialized in analog photography.

Frequently asked questions about Ausgeknipst
What is Ausgeknipst?
Ausgeknipst is a company founded in Würzburg in 2020 that develops and manufactures battery adapters, spare parts, and accessories for analogue cameras. The range includes over 584 products for more than 45 camera brands — from Agfa to Zenit. Most products are made in-house in Germany.
Who is behind Ausgeknipst?
Ausgeknipst was founded in 2020 by Vladi Shenker and Anto Fragasso — two friends, engineers, and passionate camera enthusiasts. The company operates as a GbR based in Würzburg and currently employs five people.
Where is Ausgeknipst produced?
Mostly in Würzburg, Germany. Most parts are produced in-house using FDM 3D printing with PLA+ — a plant-based bioplastic. Some components are sourced from China, but the majority of the value creation takes place in Germany.
Which camera brands does Ausgeknipst support?
Ausgeknipst offers adapters, spare parts, and accessories for over 45 camera brands: Agfa, Alpa, Argus, Beaulieu, Bell & Howell, Bronica, Canon, Chinon, Compur, Contax, Cosina, Dacora, Edixa, Exakta, Fuji, Fujica, GAF, Hanimex, Hasselblad, Honeywell, Keystone, Kiev, Kodak, Konica, Kowa, Leica, Mamiya, Metz, Minolta, Minox, Miranda, Nikon, Olympus, Pentax, Petri, Porst, Praktica, Revue, Ricoh, Rollei, Topcon, Vivitar, Voigtländer, Wards, Yashica, Zeiss Ikon, and Zenit. You can find the right adapter for a specific camera in the Battery Finder.
What is the difference between Ausgeknipst and batteries from Amazon or other retailers?
Ausgeknipst sells solutions you won’t find anywhere else: adapters for long-discontinued battery types (e.g., PX625 mercury, PX27, MR9), spare parts for cameras over 40 years old, and refill film cassettes. Unlike generic batteries from the mass market, Ausgeknipst provides camera-specific, tested solutions — with two years warranty and personal customer support by email and phone. Many products are exclusively available worldwide at Ausgeknipst.
What happens if my camera or battery type is not in the range?
Write us an email at shopify@ausgeknipst.de. A large part of the current range originally arose from specific customer requests — if a problem occurs repeatedly or is technically solvable, we develop a suitable product. For cameras needing repair, Ausgeknipst also maintains a directory of specialized repair workshops in Germany and internationally.
What warranty and support does Ausgeknipst offer?
Two years of statutory warranty on all products. For technical questions, compatibility issues, or complaints, customer support is available by email (shopify@ausgeknipst.de) and reachable by phone. Many product pages also include detailed compatibility tables and instructions.
Does Ausgeknipst ship internationally?
Yes, worldwide shipping. Within the EU with correct VAT accounting, to Switzerland, the UK, the USA, Australia, and many other countries. Lithium-containing products (e.g., certain battery kits) are subject to special shipping regulations and are sometimes restricted to shipping within Germany — details are on the respective product page.
