Information according to § 24 paragraph 3 of the Battery Act Implementation Act (BattDG) in connection with Article 74 of Regulation (EU) 2023/1542 on the return of used batteries and accumulators:

Batteries and accumulators must not be disposed of in household waste. The symbol of the crossed-out trash bin indicates that batteries and accumulators must not be disposed of with household waste but must be properly recycled. End users are legally obliged to return used batteries and accumulators.
Used batteries and accumulators can be returned free of charge — at any municipal collection point or local retailer (for example, supermarket or drugstore).
You can also return batteries and accumulators to us free of charge or send them to us by mail with sufficient postage:

Batteries containing hazardous substances are marked with a symbol consisting of a crossed-out trash bin and the chemical symbol of the relevant heavy metal: Cd for cadmium, Hg for mercury, Pb for lead.
Please cover the terminals of lithium and button cells before returning or package the batteries individually to avoid short circuits and fires.
