Battery disposal

Information according to § 18 para. 1 Battery Act on the return of used batteries and accumulators:

Batteries/accumulators must not be disposed of in household waste. The trash bin symbol marks batteries/accumulators containing hazardous substances and indicates that batteries/accumulators must be disposed of properly, not via household waste. End users are legally obliged to return used batteries/accumulators.

We would like to point out that batteries/accumulators can be returned free of charge at any municipal collection point or local retailer (e.g., supermarket or drugstore).

You can also return batteries and accumulators free of charge at the following address or send them back to us by mail with sufficient postage:

Batteries containing hazardous substances are marked with a symbol consisting of a crossed-out trash bin and the chemical symbol (Cd, Hg, or Pb) of the heavy metal responsible for the classification as hazardous.
