Text of the notice
At least two years of statutory warranty for the conformity of goods sold in the European Union.
Consumers can assert their rights under the statutory warranty right, for example if the goods
- do not match the description,
- do not function as intended.
Sellers are liable for any non-conformity that existed at the time of delivery of the goods and becomes apparent within the statutory warranty period. In such cases, sellers must offer the following:
- free repair or free replacement,
- in certain cases a price reduction or a full refund of the purchase price.
In some countries a longer statutory warranty period applies. A shorter period may apply to used goods, but not less than one year.

What to do if you receive non-conforming goods?
- Report the problem to the seller as soon as possible.
- Provide proof of purchase, such as the receipt, invoice or a bank statement.
Sellers and manufacturers may also grant commercial guarantees that apply independently of the statutory warranty. This GARAN label, for example, shows that the manufacturer grants a commercial durability guarantee at no additional cost, covering the entire product.
