Which adapter fits my Minox 35?
Two battery compartments, two adapters
The Minox 35 comes in two generations with different battery compartments. The key difference is which battery your model requires.
- PX27 (5.6V): Minox 35 GT, GL, EL, PE, EC, LX, TLX → our PX27 adapter with 4x SR44
- PX28 (6V): Minox 35 MB, ML, MDC → our PX28 adapter with 4x LR44
Attention: The original PX27 and PX28 mercury batteries have not been available for years. Without an adapter, modern alternatives provide the wrong voltage. This leads to incorrect exposures. Our adapters correct the voltage to the right level.

V28PX Multi-Adapter
The V28PX is not exclusively a Minox adapter. It also fits Pentax 67, Mamiya RZ67, Canon AE-1 and many other classics. It works just as well with the Minox 35 MB/ML/MBC with a 6V battery compartment.
Replacement parts

The Minox 35 has an unusual filter thread: 30.5mm. Standard filters do not fit. Our filter adapter bridges the gap to common 37mm filters: UV, polarizing, and close-up lenses.

Battery refill pack
SR44 silver oxide batteries last longer and provide more stable voltage than the cheaper LR44 alkaline cells. We recommend SR44 for all Minox 35 adapters designed for them. Four batteries are enough for a complete refill.
Things to know about the Minox 35
PX27 vs. PX28: What’s the difference?
Both battery types are mercury batteries that have been banned in the EU since the 2000s. The difference lies in the voltage:
- PX27 — 5.6 volts, used in the older models (GT, GL, EL, PE, EC, LX, TLX). Our adapter stacks 4x SR44 silver oxide cells to exactly 6.2V. The camera’s internal voltage regulator compensates for the minimal difference.
- PX28 — 6 volts, used in the later models (MB, ML, MDC). Here, 4x LR44 or 4x SR44 fit directly because their 6V voltage is nearly identical to the original.
Why SR44 instead of LR44?
LR44 (alkaline) batteries are cheaper, but continuously lose voltage as they discharge. SR44 (silver oxide) batteries maintain a nearly constant voltage until shortly before the end. This is crucial for the Minox 35 light meter. Fluctuating voltage leads to fluctuating readings. If you want accurate exposure, choose SR44.
Lost your battery compartment cover?
The small sliding cover on the battery compartment of the Minox 35 is often lost when changing the battery. Without the cover, the battery is exposed, there is no contact, and the camera does not work. Our replacement cover is made of sturdy plastic, precisely manufactured, and securely held in the frame. Fits all PX27 models (GT, GL, EL, PE, EC, LX, TLX).
