Are the manuals free?
Yes. All manuals and leaflets on this page are available as free PDFs – no registration and no customer account required.
I lost my printed manual. What now?
No problem: Every printed leaflet we provide is also available digitally here. Just download the matching PDF and print it again if needed.
What language are the PDFs in?
Each manual contains a German and an English page (DE/EN). The 6-bit coding table is language-neutral and applies to both.
Which pen is needed for Leica 6-bit coding?
A deep matte black permanent marker (e.g. Edding 8400). Glossy felt-tip pens reflect the light from the bayonet sensors, causing the camera to read the code incorrectly (“white”). Our 6-bit encoder kit already includes the tested special pen.
