- High-current board with gold-plated contacts: cleanly handles short current spikes so the fuse does not mistake them for a continuous load — this also gives cameras with stiff mechanisms some extra reserve, but it is not a substitute for maintenance.
- Powerful high-current batteries: Nitecore 14500 with 3A continuous discharge and 7A surge — no premature cutoff during continuous shooting, unlike the previous Keeppower cells, which shut off at around 2A.
- Double the capacity, half the weight: significantly more shots per charge than with the original NiCd batteries, at around half the weight.
- All three fuses included, plus storage box: 0.8A, 1.0A, and 1.25A (slow-blow glass fuses) — install the one matching your model; the others remain stored.
- Snap-hook replacement: secure fit in the battery compartment, quick replacement without tools.
Safety instructions
Important: The batteries must never be charged in the camera’s original charger. Use only the USB-C ports on the cells.
Compatibility
The v2 battery adapter was developed for the Rolleiflex 6000 series. Which fuse belongs in your camera depends on the model — all three fuses are included, and you install the one matching your model according to the table.
| Fuse | Compatible cameras |
|---|---|
| 0.8A (medium slow-blow) | Rolleiflex SLX Rolleiflex 6006 |
| 1.0A (medium slow-blow) | Rolleiflex 6006 Multi Exposure (also: 6006 model 2) Rolleiflex 6002 |
| 1.25A (slow-blow) | Rolleiflex 6001 Rolleiflex 6001 Professional Rolleiflex 6003 Rolleiflex 6003 Professional Rolleiflex 6003 SRC 1000 Rolleiflex 6008 Rolleiflex 6008 Professional Rolleiflex 6008 Professional SRC 1000 Rolleiflex 6008 i Rolleiflex 6008 E |
Special case — not tested ourselves:
- Rolleiflex 6008 AF
- Rolleiflex 6008 Integral 2
- Rolleiflex 6001 RCC
These three models use a NiCd voltage-reading circuit in the camera electronics that has historically had detection problems with Li-ion cells. We have not tested the v2 adapter ourselves with these models — it is possible that the new high-current board partially or completely solves the problem, but we cannot guarantee it. If you own one of these models and would like to try it, please contact us briefly beforehand. We will discuss the chances of success and offer a goodwill return if it fails.
Shipping notice (important for international customers)
For regulatory reasons concerning lithium-ion shipping, the shipping method depends on the scope of delivery (regardless of the selected surface, smooth or textured):
- Complete set (with 3x Nitecore batteries + charging distributor): shipping within Germany only.
- Cage only (with charging distributor, without batteries): worldwide shipping. You purchase the three Nitecore NL1411R batteries separately in your country — you’ll find all sources below under package contents.
Choose surface: Smooth or Wavy
The adapter is available in two surface finishes — technically identical and fully compatible; the difference is purely cosmetic. The visible outside becomes part of the left side of your Rollei camera body (where the battery sits). Depending on the model generation, this side is smooth or finely ribbed — choose the finish that fits flush.
- Wavy — the proven version with a fine grooved texture. It echoes the design of the 6008 family (6008 Professional, Integral, SRC 1000, i, i2, E) and the 6006, and looks most harmonious on these camera bodies.
- Smooth — new, flat surface without grooves. Usually the right choice for the SLX, 6001, 6002, and 6003, whose original battery sits flush.
Not sure? Simply send us a photo of the left side of your camera body (where the battery is inserted) — we’ll tell you within a minute which surface fits flush. The function and package contents are identical in both versions; the choice is purely cosmetic.

Description
For the Rolleiflex 6008 and its sister models, this adapter replaces the old NiCd battery with three Nitecore 14500 Li-ion cells, which you charge individually via USB-C — significantly more shots per charge at around half the weight. Compatible with the Rolleiflex SLX, 6001, 6002, 6003, 6006, and 6008; the fuse set for all models in the series is included.
The high-current circuit board with gold-plated contacts also transfers brief current spikes cleanly, without the fuse mistaking them for a continuous load. This solves the most common remaining problem with old cameras: When motors with congealed lubricant started up, micro-triggers used to cause the fuse to disconnect prematurely — it still protects against genuine continuous-load faults.
Which 14500 battery? Our comparison
We recommend the Nitecore NL1411R for the adapter — and not on a whim. Before settling on it, we tested several 14500 cells in the cage: Keeppower P1413TC, Keeppower P1450C4, Fenix ARB-L14, Manker 14500 (920 mAh), and various inexpensive no-name cells from Amazon.
| Cell | Capacity | USB charging port + protection (BMS) | Continuous current (manufacturer specification) | Max. pulse/surge current (manufacturer specification) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Nitecore NL1411R (our choice) | 1100 mAh (3.96 Wh) | USB-C, yes | 3 A | 7 A — specified |
| Vapcell K10 INR14500 (customer tip: 6008 model, not tested by us) | 1000 mAh (3.7 Wh) | no USB port (charge externally), no — unprotected | 8 A | not specified |
| Keeppower P1413TC | 1300 mAh | USB-C, yes | 2.0 A | not specified |
| Keeppower P1450C4 | 1500 mAh | no USB port (charge externally), yes | no manufacturer information | not specified |
| Fenix ARB-L14-1600U | 1600 mAh, but only 1.5 V (regulated) | Micro-USB, yes | — | not specified |
| Manker 14500 USB-C | 920 mAh (3.4 Wh) | USB-C, yes | no manufacturer information | not specified |
| Various no-name brands (Amazon) | highly variable, often overstated | USB-C on some, BMS unclear | usually no datasheet | not specified |
Note on the Fenix ARB-L14-1600U: Internally, this USB variant outputs only 1.5 V (regulated to AA voltage via a DC/DC converter) — it is therefore unsuitable for our 3-cell pack with 3.6 V cells (11.1 V combined). When choosing Fenix, make sure it is a genuine 3.6 V 14500 cell.
The deciding factor is the maximum pulse/surge current. When triggering, during mirror movement, and when the motor starts, the Rollei draws brief, powerful current spikes — for these, the short-term surge current matters, not the continuous current alone. The Nitecore NL1411R is the only cell in the test whose manufacturer provides this figure at all: 7 A short-term. This is also confirmed to us by Nitecore's official German distributor (KTL):
“The NL1411R can briefly deliver a surge current of 7A, which the Manker probably cannot. The technical specification for the ‘maximum pulse current’ or ‘overcurrent protection current’ is decisive here, but essentially irrelevant for the average customer. For highly specialized inquiries, the latter specification can be researched in the data sheet of most cells. That is why such a specification is rarely found online.”
A USB charging port means: protection circuitry (BMS) included. Every 14500 cell with its own USB charging port includes a small protection circuit (often called a “BMS”)—it sits between the cell and the contacts and protects against over-discharge, overcharging, and voltage spikes. That is exactly what you want in 30-year-old camera electronics. Simple 14500 Li-ion cells without a protection circuit also work—they are often cheaper and sometimes provide higher maximum currents because the current does not have to pass through the small circuit board first. The drawback: no protection against over-discharge or voltage spikes. We recommend protected cells with a USB charging port; unprotected cells are for DIY enthusiasts who know exactly what they are doing.
Special case: 6008 series: Camera switches off despite the correct fuse. The 6008 models draw the strongest current spikes in the series. Based on our experience from customer feedback, the protection circuit of the Nitecore cells (7 A briefly) is insufficient for most unserviced 6008s: The more severely the old grease in the camera and lens has solidified, the higher the startup current (with AF lenses, the focus motors add to this). The cell protection circuit disconnects, and the camera displays “charge” or switches off during operation. You have two options. Option 1: Have the camera serviced (CLA). It will then operate within its factory current consumption again, and the Nitecore cells will be sufficient. Option 2, without servicing: Use the Vapcell K10 INR14500 directly (1000 mAh, 8 A continuous current, button-top version, must be charged externally). Several 6008 owners have told us that these cells continuously power even heavily gummed-up cameras; we have not tested them ourselves. Important: This cell is unprotected—it has no protection circuit, so nothing prevents over-discharge or limits current spikes. You must recharge the cells yourself in good time (do not discharge them below approx. 3.0 V), and you must not continue operating the camera with nearly empty cells—otherwise, in the worst case, the camera electronics may be damaged in addition to the cells. Use is therefore expressly at your own risk; the model-appropriate fuse in the holder remains mandatory.
Why this battery is safe
- Three individual batteries, no series charging: Each cell is charged separately through its USB-C port. This eliminates the main risks of poorly made DIY adapters (overvoltage and fire hazards caused by the lack of balancing).
- BMS in every cell: Protection against overcharging, deep discharge, and overheating — integrated directly into the Nitecore cell.
- Model-specific fuse: The correctly rated slow-blow glass fuse for your model protects the camera’s circuit board from actual defects (short circuits, component failure).
- High-current circuit board v2: Separates surge currents (short, normal load peaks) from continuous loads (actual defects). This preserves protection without causing the fuse to blow unnecessarily during normal operation.

Frequently asked questions
“What should I do if the fuse blows in Continuous mode?”
If your camera blows the fuse in Continuous mode with the correct fuse (see the compatibility table above), this is almost always an indication of hardened grease inside the camera — the focus motor, mirror, and shutter then draw significantly more current than intended by the manufacturer. Recommendation: schedule a service (CLA) with a specialist workshop such as Wiese Fototechnik. The aging capacitors on the camera’s circuit board will also be checked — these are the most common actual cause of failures in the 6000 series.
First, check the installed fuse. If you previously had a lower-rated fuse installed, the filament may have broken long ago — this can look like a power problem, but is simply a blown fuse. Hold it up to the light: a continuous filament means it is intact.
As a temporary solution at your own risk, you can use the next-higher fuse rating (e.g. 1.0A instead of 0.8A for an SLX). This slightly reduces the level of protection — in the event of damage, the fuse will blow later, which in the worst case could damage the camera’s circuit board. Acceptable as a temporary measure until your service appointment, but not recommended for permanent use.Share

An meiner SLX (1.

the adapter for filer for lens is cheap plastic.I was expecting for metal but works
Ordinary high drain type li-ion like vapcell h10 cannot provide sufficient power to drive Rolleiflex 6008AF as the voltage drop too much under heavy loading. LiFepo4 type 14500 battery (pulse current at least 2A and 3.5A is better) can drive manual focus lens on 6008AF but not AF lens.If you can offer a battery adapter that can accomodate four 14500 LiFepo4 batteries, it is very likely that the AF lens can be operated on 6008AF
A well-made item that works perfectly. The price might be a little high, but it gets the camera working perfectly again. Fast and efficient customer service.
