Description
The Half Frame Top Plate masks the exposure window to exactly 18×24mm, optimized for the Olympus Pen, Canon Demi and other half-frame cameras. Magnetic mounting allows you to switch between Standard, Half Frame and Panorama in seconds.
Which set is the right base depends on the film format: for 35mm and Half Frame, the Film Scanner Set 35mm is the right foundation. This Top Plate extends it with the half-frame mask.
Half-frame cameras expose two shots on a single 35mm negative, so a 36-exposure film yields 72 images. When digitizing, masking to 18×24mm therefore pays off twice: no stray light at the edges, and every image is captured cleanly on its own.
