The battery compartment cap of the Yashica Mat 124 G and 124 is often lost and is hard to find as a replacement part. Without it, the battery lies loose in the compartment and the built-in light meter stops working.

This replacement cap is made for exactly this thread: you screw it in like the original using a coin, and it holds the button cell in place through mechanical pressure. The cap does not make electrical contact in this camera model — it only needs to press the battery securely so the light meter can function again.
