Description

The coupling fork — known in Nikon terminology as „Rabbit Ears“, officially the Meter Coupling Prong — mechanically couples the set aperture on early Nikkor lenses (pre-AI / Non-AI) to the light meter pin of the Photomic finder. If it is missing, the finder of a Nikon F (Photomic), F2 (Photomic), or Nikkormat can no longer detect the aperture correctly.

The part is designed purely for exposure metering: it provides secure, play-free operation without risking damage to the lens, allowing your vintage camera to correctly detect the set aperture again.
