The Leica Meter MC is a classic tool for M2 and M3 users, but its technology has a weak point: the selenium cell. It constantly reacts to light and loses sensitivity over the years — a process that can be slowed down by darkness. Since the Meter MC has no on/off switch, this cover is the mechanical solution: it snaps onto the honeycomb window when the camera is on the shelf or being carried in your bag. This keeps the cell protected, the light meter ready for longer — and the front looking clean.
