Hand Grip for Minolta SR-1s with 1/4-Inch Tripod Screw

• Rewind button stays clear: A cutout in the base plate keeps the button accessible, so the grip stays on when you rewind.

Compatibility

• Minolta SR-1s (from 1967): designed for this camera. You can recognize it by the 1/1000 s on the shutter speed dial, which is how you tell it apart from the SR-1. Also listed in ads as SR-1 s, SR1s or SR-1S.
• Minolta SR-1 (earlier versions) and SR-7: not tested. If you have one of these, please ask us before buying.
• Not intended for the SR-T series (SR-T 100, 101, 200, 201): The SR-T cameras have a battery compartment on the bottom and need their own grip.

Description

The SR-1s is a purely mechanical SLR without a built-in light meter. Its body is heavy, smooth and angular, with no grip recess. The grip's base plate sits flat under the camera and gives your right hand a firm hold without changing anything about how you operate it.

To mount it, place the grip under the camera, turn the screw from below through the base plate into the tripod socket and tighten it hand-tight with a coin or a flat-head screwdriver. The flat head sits in the groove between the two ridges on the underside and doesn't protrude. To work from a tripod, take the grip off again.
