Film cutter for 110 format (16mm)

• Free choice of film for your pocket camera: From 35mm or 120 film you cut 16 mm wide strips and are not dependent on the few ready-made 110 varieties; with the combination module, Minox strips too.
• Safety cover protects your fingers: The pressure cover holds the film flat against the guide and protects you from the exposed blades.
• Manual pull-through: You pull the film through the blades by hand, without a crank or gears.
• Arrives ready to use: The double-edge razor blades are installed at the factory; replacements are standard blades available everywhere.

Compatibility

The cutting modules produce unperforated film. This works with cameras that advance the film through friction rather than gears that engage with the perforation holes.

Also for 16mm subminiature cameras: The unperforated strip also runs in classic submini cameras whose transport works without perforations, loaded into the respective camera cassette (e.g. RADA):

• Edixa 16 (all models, including Wirgin Edixa 16)
• Alka 16 & Franka 16 (RADA cassette)
• Fotex MiniFex
• GaMi 16 (Galileo)

Not suitable for the Rollei 16. It requires perforations for film transport.

How to test your camera:
Open the back (without film), operate the film advance, and press the shutter release. If it locks up, your camera requires perforations. If it fires, that is a good sign, but not yet proof: some cameras with a push-pull advance only lock once a cartridge is in the chamber.

What's included

All versions are supplied with the razor blades already installed, so you can start cutting immediately. You will also need empty 110 cartridges, for example our refill cartridge, and a changing bag or a dark room: cutting and loading take place in the dark.

Description

Ready-made 110 film is only available in a few varieties. With the film cutter, you cut the 16 mm wide strips yourself from 35mm or 120 film and can use common 35mm and roll films in your pocket camera; with the combination module, you can also cut Minox strips.

The system is modular and designed with safety in mind. Insert the film, put on the cover (which gently holds the film in place), and pull the material through the blades by hand. The result is clean-cut edges without expensive specialist tools.

Put to the test
