Why there is no window covering the full film width
All three Top Plates mask to the image area, not to the full film width. 120 film is 61,5 mm wide, the largest window (6×9) measures 56 mm. The difference is the zone where the holder guides the strip and holds it flat; a wider window takes that zone away, the film sags and the center of the image goes out of focus. That is why we do not offer a special plate that exposes the perforation or edge markings. If you need the edges, clamp the negative between two panes of glass with anti-Newton coating and scan frame by frame.

Each Top Plate masks the exposure window exactly to the selected medium format, optimized for Mamiya 645/RB67/RZ67, Pentax 645/67, Bronica ETR/SQ, Fuji GW690 and other 120 cameras. Magnetic attachment lets you switch between all formats in seconds.

Film Scanner 120 Modularer Filmhalter für Mittelformat – Pro-Set + Top Plate für 6×9-cm-Filme
Die Leuchtplatte von Cinestill ist hochwertig und passt exakt zur Basisplatte des Filmhalters. Die 6×9-cm-Top-Plate hält das Negativ seitlich sicher fixiert und sorgt dafür, dass es plan liegt. Der Streulichtaufsatz lässt sich durch die einzelnen Segmente in der Höhe anpassen und passt dadurch sehr gut zu meinem Digitalisierungsaufbau.
Die Handhabung des Filmhalters ist sehr einfach, und die 120er-Negative lassen sich schnell wechseln, was es mir ermöglicht, meine 6×6- und 6×9-cm-Negativsammlung schnell und effizient zu digitalisieren.
Alles in allem ist das Set absolut empfehlenswert und seinen Preis mehr als wert.
Besonders erwähnenswert ist außerdem die sehr gute Kommunikation mit dem Verkäufer, der meine anfänglichen Probleme schnell und unkompliziert gelöst hat.
