Film Scanner Set Duo for 35mm + 120 Medium Format

• Two formats, one system: Digitize 35mm and 120 medium format with a shared light source and one copy stand instead of buying two separate setups.
• Flat into the corners: The dual S-curve tensions every film strip across its full width, without glass plates and without Newton rings.
• Feed film through from the side: Slide strips in from the side and advance frame by frame. The Top Plate stays on. You only need to lift it off for short snippets and to switch formats; the magnetic Top Plate is the mask.
• Modular: From the holder duo (Basic) to the CS-LITE light system (Light) all the way to the scanning station with copy stand (Copy).

Compatibility

• Film: all 35mm negatives (24×36mm) and all 120 roll film negatives (6×6, color and black and white), strips and single frames.
• Capture: for camera scanning with a DSLR or mirrorless camera.
• Light sources: CineStill CS-LITE (included in Light and Copy); the Basic is compatible with Negative Supply, Kaiser Slimlite Plano, Raleno LED panel and any light panel from 95 × 150mm.
• Expandable: with additional Top Plates for Half Frame, X-Pan, 6×4.5, 6×7 and 6×9.

Scope of delivery

For the Copy Stand you need a tripod head

Applies to the Copy and Copy + leveling base variants; Basic and Light do not include a copy stand. The copy stand has a 3/8" screw on top. A tripod head is only included in the “Copy + leveling base” variant. The setup is: copy stand, tripod head on top of it, camera on top of that. Using the joint, you align the camera exactly parallel to the negative, which is why there is no fixed camera mount on the profile.

Practically any ball head or geared head fits, because 3/8" is the standard on the underside of the head. If you have a tripod, simply unscrew the head and use it here. If you don't have a head of your own, our leveling base fits directly onto the 3/8" screw. If you choose “Copy + leveling base” above, it comes right in the package.

Description

If you shoot 35mm and medium format, digitizing your negatives has so far meant two separate film holder sets, and with them a doubled light source and tripod. This duo combines both formats in one system: one light table, one copy stand, two magnetic film holders. Switching between 35mm and 120 takes seconds, and the dual S-curve keeps the film flat across its full width.

Made in-house in Würzburg, and every holder is checked for fit before shipping. The system remains expandable: additional Top Plates cover Half Frame, X-Pan and the other 120 formats.

Tested
