- Only dedicated Minox scanning solution: 9,2mm film channel, designed exactly for 8×11mm subminiature film, no adapter, no workaround.
- Film strip held flat: the dual-S curve keeps the strip flat across its full width, no glass plates, no Newton rings, sharp into the corners.
- Magnetic Top Plate, one motion: lift off, insert film, click into place. Even short film snippets and single frames fit without threading.
- Modular expansion against stray light: The layer system grows with you: Adapter Plate at the bottom and lens hood at the top (from the “With light source” variant onwards) completely seal off side light and preserve contrast.
You’ll also need:
- Digital camera with a macro lens
- Copy stand or tripod with a tilting center column (for “Film holder” and “With light source”)
- Light source (for “Film holder”)
- Tripod head for the copy stand, such as the one from your tripod (for “With copy stand”; “Everything but camera and lens” comes with the leveling base for this)

You need a tripod head for the Copy Stand
You need a tripod head for the Copy Stand
Applies to the “With copy stand” and “Everything but camera and lens” variants, the other variants don't include a Copy Stand. The Copy Stand has a 3/8" screw on top. A tripod head is not included in any set. The setup is: Copy Stand, tripod head on top, camera on top of that. You use the joint to align the camera exactly parallel to the negative, which is why there's no fixed camera mount on the profile.
Practically any ball head or geared head fits, since 3/8" is the standard on the underside of the head. If you have a tripod, simply unscrew the head and use it here. Without a head of your own, our leveling base fits directly onto the 3/8" screw. If you choose “Everything but camera and lens” above, it comes right in the package.

Description
Description
Minox film in the 8x11 format gets short shrift in most scanning systems, and a film holder that really fits is hard to find. This system is the only dedicated scanning solution for Minox subminiature film, built from the ground up for Minox shooters: modular, with no compromises on quality and handling, even at this tiny format. The Base Plate guides the 9.2mm wide film through a channel with a dual S curve that keeps the strip flat without glass plates. You remove the magnetic Top Plate with a single motion: load the film, snap it in, scan. The integrated rubber feet (2mm, Shore 70A) provide a non-slip stand on any light source.
The system grows with your workflow: from the film holder alone, through the “With light source” variant (CineStill CS-LITE, Adapter Plate and lens hood), up to the complete scanning station with Copy Stand MK2. We make the film holders ourselves in Würzburg.

Support a young startup
You want innovative solutions instead of mass-produced goods? With us, you don’t buy from an anonymous wholesaler, but directly from the founders. We (Anto & Vladi) started our startup in October 2021 in Würzburg to help you revive analog photography.
Developed by engineers
Designed in Würzburg
We don’t sell anything we wouldn’t use ourselves. We are engineers and camera nerds, and we know that precision is especially important in camera technology. That’s why we design our parts ourselves in Würzburg, and we make and assemble most of them here too. Batteries and rechargeables come from other manufacturers, for example Varta.
