Description
This film cutter for Minox lets you cut the 9.2mm format (Minox 8x11) yourself from affordable 35mm or 120 standard film, making you independent of expired or expensive specialty film. The film is pulled through by hand, which keeps the process simple and robust. The razor blades are fitted at the factory; as wear parts, they can later be replaced with standard commercial blades.
Depending on the module you choose, the result varies:
- From 35mm: The cutter splits the 35mm roll lengthwise into two 9.2mm strips over the full length of the film. This gives you four complete 36-exposure Minox films plus two shorter films with 15-18 exposures (or alternatively 1x Minox + 1x 16mm, depending on the configuration).
- From 120 (medium format): Produces 6 strips of Minox film.

Der Filmschneider ist einwandfrei. Sehr schnell lassen sich aus dem KB-Film zwei Filmstreifen für die Minox schneiden. Der "Deckel" passt sehr gut auf den Korpus.

Way too wide film strips!
This is supposed to produce 6 9.2mm wide film strips for Minox from a 120 film. In reality the width of the strips is way more than 9.2mm so too wide (like 9.4-9.6mm). I tried to use the film strip cut with this slitter with Ausgeknipst printed cassettes but film was jammed and did not move at all in the camera. Not recommended!

Sorry, a slitter that cuts wider than it should defeats its whole purpose. You measured 9.4 to 9.6 mm, and at that width the strips jam in our cassettes instead of feeding through, just as you found. We have since fixed the slitter, and the strips it cuts now really are 9.2 mm. If yours still gives you trouble, write to info@ausgeknipst.de and we will make it right.
