Description
This battery cover is a faithful reproduction of the Canon AL-1 (QF) battery door, which almost always breaks. It’s designed specifically to fix the problem for good, and the screws for the metal contact are included.
To fit it, you’ll need the metal contact from your original battery door. Depending on the year of manufacture, this contact is either glued or screwed on. If it’s glued, drill the holes needed for the included screws with a fine 2 mm drill bit so you can screw the metal contact onto the new door. Just like the original, the cover itself is held in place by the existing pin or screws; only the latch works without a spring and holds with a friction fit. Installation takes just a few minutes.
