Description

The battery door on the Canon AL-1 (QF) almost always breaks. This battery compartment cover replaces it with an identical reproduction. This replacement cover was specially designed to solve the problem permanently.

For installation, you need the metal contact from your original battery door. Depending on the production year, this contact is either glued or screwed in place. If it is glued, drill the necessary holes for the supplied screws using a fine 2 mm drill bit to screw the metal contact onto the new door. Like the original, the cover itself is held in place by the existing pin or screws; only the latch works without a spring and is secured by a friction fit. Installation takes just a few minutes.
