This rear cap is designed for the outer bayonet of rangefinder cameras from the Nikon S, Contax, and Kiev series. The standard 50mm lens uses the inner bayonet—wide-angle and telephoto focal lengths are often mounted on the outside. Since the rear lenses of these lenses protrude differently into the body depending on the design, the cap comes in three depths. It protects your optics from dust and mechanical damage.
