Lens rear caps for Contax RF, Nikon S, Kiev RF (three sizes)

• Replacement for the original outer bayonet cap: Original caps for the outer bayonet of the Nikon S and Contax RF series are hard to come by.
• Protects the rear lens element: Especially on wide-angle and telephoto lenses, the rear element protrudes a long way and is prone to scratches.
• Three depths to choose from: Flat, Medium or Deep, depending on how far the rear element of your lens protrudes.

Compatibility & choosing your variant

Before choosing, please check how far the rear element of your lens protrudes. Here is a guide:

• Flat: For telephoto lenses with little protrusion (e.g. Jupiter-9 85mm, Jupiter-11 135mm, Zeiss Sonnar 85mm/135mm).
• Medium: For moderate wide-angle lenses (e.g. Orion-15 28mm).
• Deep: Specifically for lenses with a deeply protruding rear element in Biogon design (e.g. Jupiter-12 35mm, Zeiss Biogon 35mm).

Description

This rear cap is designed for the outer bayonet of Nikon S, Contax and Kiev series rangefinder cameras. The standard 50mm lens uses the inner bayonet, whereas wide-angle and telephoto focal lengths are often mounted on the outer one. Since the rear elements of these lenses protrude into the body to different depths depending on their design, the cap comes in three depths. It protects your optics from dust and mechanical damage.
