- Stops the power drain: The cover shades the CdS cell, which otherwise measures constantly whenever light falls on it.
- Saves the button cell: The capacity is preserved even when the camera is left out in the open instead of in a closed case.
- Protects the metering cell: Covers the sensitive CdS cell on the front of the camera, shielding it from dust and scratches.
Compatibility
- Rollei 35
- Rollei 35 S
- Rollei 35 T
Scope of delivery
1x light meter cover (battery saver)
Technical details
- Material: engineering plastic
- Color: black
- Mounting: self-adhesive, sticks onto the camera body
Description
On many models, the light meter of the Rollei 35 has no off switch of its own. Metering continues permanently as long as ambient light hits the sensor. This drains the battery faster than you might expect, especially when the camera is stored without a case.
The cover sticks onto the camera body with its self-adhesive backing and blocks the light to the CdS cell. This keeps the current off as long as you are not using the camera.

Poteva andare meglio
Reply from Ausgeknipst ·

After a purchase we ask for a review by email. New reviews appear automatically; we read them afterwards and never remove one because of its star rating. “Verified purchase” means the review came through the review link of an order in our shop. “Verified” marks older reviews that our previous review service, Judge.me, had labelled as verified. Support a young startup
You want innovative solutions instead of mass-produced goods? With us, you don’t buy from an anonymous wholesaler, but directly from the founders. We (Anto & Vladi) started our startup in 2019 in Würzburg to help you revive analog photography.
Developed by engineers
Designed in Würzburg
We don’t sell anything we wouldn’t use ourselves. We are engineers and camera nerds, and we know that precision is especially important in camera technology. That’s why we design our parts ourselves in Würzburg, and we print and assemble most of them here too. Batteries and rechargeables come from other manufacturers, for example Varta.
