  • Thread confusion? The Summicron-C uses the rare Series 5.5 standard (pitch 0.75 mm) – normal 39 mm filters or hoods (E39) will damage the lens here.
  • Precisely made. This hood has the correct thread and screws on cleanly.
  • Contrast instead of stray light. Effectively prevents side light and protects the front lens from impacts.

Description

The compact lenses of the Leica CL are legendary but have a catch: The filter thread does not match the common E39 standard (0.5 mm pitch), but the "Series 5.5" standard with a steeper thread pitch (0.75 mm). Using standard accessories here risks damaging the thread. We have designed this lens hood exactly for this special size. It fits securely, protects against stray light, and preserves the classic look of your gear.
