Description
Without the heavy MD-4 motor drive, your Nikon F3 lacks a proper grip on the right side of the body. This grip gives your fingers something to rest on and with it the hold you need for steady shutter release, even when a heavy lens is mounted up front.
We shaped the underside as an Arca Swiss plate right away. That way you can switch between handheld shooting and tripod work without first screwing on a quick release plate.

It is a good concept, but quality is not on par with wood/aluminum grip taking into consideration shipping cost: too much flex, tolerances like it is "made in China". While it makes the camera taller, the finger section is still very thin, does not bring needed level of comfort, especially with larger lenses like Voigtlander 58mm F1.4 SL II-S. For the reliable hold the grip should be bulkier, somewhat closer to N90's one in geometry. Basically, it need more volume to be really practical with Nikon F3 (which is not comfortable by design).

Thanks for the detailed feedback, and sorry the grip does not give you the hold you wanted with a big lens on the F3. You are right that the finger section is slim, and with a heavier lens that shows. If it does not work for you on your camera, write to info@ausgeknipst.de and you can have your money back for the grip.
