Description
This film spool speeds up loading film in your Leica M3, M1, M2, or IIIg. It replaces the original Leica take-up spool SPOOM (14022) and brings the "Petal" design (tulip system) of the Leica M6 to your classic body: the film engages directly with the inserted spool, without you having to take it out.
On the M3 version, a pin extends when you turn the camera over. You use it to lift the spool slightly and trigger the automatic frame counter reset.

Although I've never had a great issue with the original spool, this quick loading thingy truly makes life easier. Ich finde es toll dass es jemanden gibt der sich um scheinbare Kleinigkeiten um das Fotografieren herum kümmert. Dabei sind es oft die, die einem nochdaslwtzte Quentchen verschaffen, um happy zu sein. So wie die perfekte Spule ke zur M3, die mir hilft, beim Ausseneinsatzdie die M3 wie eine M6 handzuhaben verbunden mit der Freude des Fotografen diese edle Kamera ausführen zu können.

Hi Yves, thanks for the honest review, and sorry that loading took more practice than expected. You're right, the leader doesn't always catch in the spool on the first try. What helps: before closing the camera, advance once and check that the film is held between the petals. If it still won't catch, write to us at info@ausgeknipst.de, and you'll get a new spool or a refund if you send it back.
