Warning: Canon made two generations of FD lenses. This hood fits only the newer "New FD" (nFD) version without the silver chrome ring on the bayonet. If your lens has a silver locking ring ("Breech Lock"), you need the BS-55.

Description

The 50mm is the go-to lens for many Canon A-1 and AE-1 cameras. However, the original BS-52 lens hood is often missing, and without it, photos taken against the light appear flat. This hood replaces the original and fits the same BS-52 outer bayonet; the filter thread on the lens remains free, so you can keep using your 52mm filters.
