Description

The Basic film holder is our minimalist entry-level model for anyone who wants to digitize 35mm negatives with a digital camera or smartphone. The principle is simple: base and top plates are held together with rubber bands, the film lies flat in between. By pressing the side bulges, the gap opens, insert the film, place it on a light source (LED panel with high CRI recommended), photograph.

Compared to our MK2 system, the Basic forgoes magnetic fixation and stray light protection — but costs just a fraction. If you want to upgrade later, simply switch to the modular MK2 Film Scanner Set 35mm.
