Description

A Hasselblad digital back such as the CFV 50c or a Phase One fits the V System — the camera itself, however, is designed for the square 6x6 format. When you attach a digital back with a 33x44mm sensor (e.g. the CFV 50c), the camera only uses a rectangular portion of the focusing screen — so the viewfinder shows more than what ultimately appears in the image.

The mask clips onto the focusing screen (under the waist-level or prism viewfinder) and can be unclipped again at any time. It marks the effective image area so you can set the composition correctly from the start.
