- Flash recycling time: approx. 12–15 s at full power with high-resistance high-capacity cells (own measurement), usually shorter with low-resistance cells such as Varta 2600, depending on the age of the flash capacitor. Over 300 flashes per charge.

- Important safety notice: Designed for 7x AA + dummy. The rechargeable batteries must always be charged externally. NEVER charge them via the flash generator (fire hazard!).
- The included AA dummy is NOT a battery and must NOT be charged. It must still be placed in the holder: it bridges the eighth slot and closes the circuit.

Description
If your Metz 76 MZ-5 or 70 MZ-5 no longer delivers power, the old battery pack is usually to blame, and original replacements have long been unavailable. This battery holder takes over the power supply with seven rechargeable AA batteries, which you can buy individually at any time.
The included AA dummy is important: the holder is designed for 7 cells plus the dummy. The dummy is not a battery and does not get charged. It sits in the eighth slot and closes the circuit. Without it, the adapter supplies no power.
To fit it, line up the two triangles on the cap with the strap eyelet of the flash and lock the holder with a push-and-twist motion. It takes a little practice the first few times. The holder has no charging circuitry for the generator connection: you always charge the batteries in an external charger.

“The flash doesn't respond. What's causing this?”
- No contact: clean the contacts with a metal object, such as a flat-head screwdriver or a key.
- Battery too thick or spring too weak: push the cells into position by hand until they make contact at both poles.
- Faulty flash: use a multimeter to measure the voltage at the contacts of the battery holder. If roughly the rated voltage is present, the problem is probably in the flash. If there is no voltage or significantly less, check the cells, polarity, contacts and whether the dummy is in the holder.
“Why does the flash only work with certain rechargeable or disposable batteries?”
Cells differ in voltage, capacity and internal resistance. For older devices, use high-quality NiMh rechargeables with low internal resistance, such as Varta Recharge Accu Power AA 2600 mAh, otherwise you may experience dropouts.

Buona idea ma ..... Il primo tappo si è rotto subito a causa di un innesco gravato da spessori plastici troppo fini e misure imprecise per favorire fluidità nell’aggancio al Metz e il secondo che mi è stato mandato si è rotto quasi subito anche lui esattamente per lo stesso motivo malgrado le precauzioni prese dopo la prima esperienza. Dalle recensioni noto di non essere il solo a lamentare questo problema e considerato il costo del prodotto mi chiedo perché non vi preoccupate di risolverlo in modo adeguato. Potrebbe bastare un anello di metallo o materiale comunque più adatto a resistere per andare in misura e resistente alla manovra per l’'aggancio. Le due o tre volte che sono riuscito ad usarlo ho notato anche un gioco tra i contatti che rende intermittente il funzionamento. Ho provveduto all’aumento della curvatura della molla e sono riuscito ad ottenere dei miglioramenti. Forse sarebbe più efficace usare una normale molla a spirale. Concludo sconsigliando questo prodotto e lo faccio a malincuore perché l’idea mi sembra buona e di facile realizzazione tanto che ci vorrebbe poco a migliorare il prodotto già esistente. Scusate i giudizi negativi ma mi auguro di potervi far presto dei complimenti.

Ich habe hier genau das gefunden was ich gesucht habe: Einen Akku-Ersatz, mit dem ich ein sehr teures Bltzgerät, von dem ich kein verglichbares mehr auf dem Markt finde, weiterverwenden zu können. Ohne einen solchen Ersatz wäre das sonst einwandfrei funktionierende Blitzgerät nach dem Verschleis des Originalakkus wertlos. Besonders gut finde ich, dass handelsübliche AA-Zellen verwendet werden, die leicht auswechselbar und sicher noch lange im Handel erhältlich sind. Lediglich das einsetzen des Batteriekorbs gestaltet sich manchmal schwierig, da er sich beim festdrehen des Deckels leicht verschieben kann und dann der elektrische Kontakt verloren gehen kann. Hier würde ich empfehlen, eine Führung zu ergänzen, die den Battariekorb gegen seitliches Verkanten im Batteriegriff sichert. Mit einer solchen Führung würde ich auf jeden Fall 5 Sterne vergeben.

Alles super! Den Blitz einfach mit Enelops bestücken zu können ist ein echter Gewinn. Der leicht fummelige Verschluss ist da nur ein kleiner Tradeoff.
