- Rollei 35S: version “Rollei 35S”
- Rollei 35SE: version “Rollei 35SE”
- Rollei 35TE: version “Rollei 35TE”
Not for Rollei 35 LED, B35, C35, Rollei 35 Classic, XF 35 and Rollei 35 with S-Xenar: not all four parts fit these models or they have not yet been tested. Description
Anyone who has bought or inherited a Rollei 35 needs a battery for the light meter and, if the original accessories are missing, a lens cap, lens hood and case. Which parts fit depends on the lens (Tessar or Sonnar) and the light meter (needle on top of the camera or LEDs in the viewfinder). In this package, the parts are compiled by model; you only need to choose your version.
Rollei 35, 35T and 35S use a CdS cell and were designed for the 1.35V PX625 mercury battery. The PX625 battery adapter holds type 675 zinc-air cells from the drugstore, which drop to around 1.35V under the light meter's tiny load. Rollei 35SE and 35TE require the 5.6V PX27 battery. The PX27 battery adapter brings four SR44 batteries to the height of the original cell; together, they provide 6.2V. If the adapter fits too tightly, replace one SR44 with the included, flatter SR43.
Rollei 35, 35T and 35S have no switch for the light meter. With the cover attached, the protective case darkens the measuring cell and thus stops power consumption. When the lens hood is screwed on, the case cover will not close; unscrew the hood for transport. All parts are also available individually.
Frequently asked questions
Which version do I need?
Look at the front of the camera: if it says Rollei 35, 35 T, 35 S, 35 SE or 35 TE, choose the corresponding version. The 35 SE and 35 TE display the exposure with LEDs in the viewfinder, while the other three use a needle on top of the body. If your camera says Classic, LED, B35, C35 or XF 35, this package is not compatible.
