Description

With this development spool, you can develop 4x5 large format film in your existing Paterson system without purchasing a dedicated large format tank system. In the Paterson Universal tank (PTP115), the included light trap replaces the original funnel, allowing you to switch between developer, stop bath, and fixer outside the darkroom in dimmed light.

In the larger Multi-Reel tanks (PTP116, PTP117, PTP118), the spool works without a light trap directly with the original funnel — the tank remains light-tight in this configuration as well. The spool may have some play and rattle there, but this does not affect the light-tightness.
