  • Replacement for defective original batteries: Fits exactly in place of the hard-to-find special battery — with five standard AAA cells, your camera will work again.
  • Stable voltage for the motor: Five NiMH cells at 1.2V each provide the 6V required by the motor of the 500 EL series.
  • Optional one or two batteries: The camera is ready to use with just one battery; with two, the runtime is doubled.
  • Externally rechargeable: The AAA cells can be changed quickly and recharged promptly in an external charger.
  • Available as a complete package: The second option includes 10x Varta AAA rechargeable batteries (1000 mAh), three storage boxes, and a charger.

Safety instructions

  • The batteries must NEVER be charged in the camera’s original charger. Please use only an external charger.

Description

Without power, nothing moves in the Hasselblad 500 EL — and the original special battery is now almost impossible to find for the 500 EL, 500 EL/M, and 500 ELX. We designed this battery adapter so that your camera can run on five modern AAA rechargeable batteries instead. Five NiMH cells at 1.2V each provide exactly the 6V required by the motor.

You can use the adapter with either one or two batteries: The camera is already functional with one battery, while two batteries double the runtime.

Make sure that your camera’s 1.6A fuse is intact. The batteries must only be charged externally, never via the camera’s original charger.

    Eine sehr gute Investition!

Funktioniert perfekt!

    The perfect solution

I’ve had an ELM for many years, but have always had to live with the old 9V battery converter. This AAA battery pack is a life changer!

    Hasselblad Batterie-Adapter

    Imported from Amazon

After a purchase we ask for a review by email. New reviews appear automatically; we read them afterwards and never remove one because of its star rating. “Verified purchase” means the review came through the review link of an order in our shop. “Verified” marks older reviews that our previous review service, Judge.me, had labelled as verified. Reviews imported from Amazon are labelled and not included in the average. How we collect and check reviews

We don’t sell anything we wouldn’t use ourselves. We are engineers and camera nerds, and we know that precision is especially important in camera technology. That’s why we design our parts ourselves in Würzburg, and we print and assemble most of them here too. Batteries and rechargeables come from other manufacturers, for example Varta.
