Description

Without power, nothing moves in the Hasselblad 500 EL — and the original special battery is now almost impossible to find for the 500 EL, 500 EL/M, and 500 ELX. We designed this battery adapter so that your camera can run on five modern AAA rechargeable batteries instead. Five NiMH cells at 1.2V each provide exactly the 6V required by the motor.

You can use the adapter with either one or two batteries: The camera is already functional with one battery, while two batteries double the runtime.

Make sure that your camera’s 1.6A fuse is intact. The batteries must only be charged externally, never via the camera’s original charger.
