Description

This 4.5V battery adapter for the Polaroid Land Camera replaces the Eveready 531 (also known as V19PX or PX19), the round power source found in many older Polaroid cameras and now very difficult to obtain. Without it, the shutter and exposure meter will not work.

The adapter has the correct snap connectors (similar to a 9V battery, but in a different design) and fits precisely into the battery compartment of the models listed above. In cameras such as the 350 or 450, which use two batteries (one for the timer), it provides the main power supply.

Will the adapter fit my Polaroid Land Camera? It replaces the Eveready 531 or PX19 and fits models designed for this battery, including the 100 series and the 220. For models that use the 532, you need the PX24 adapter.

Which batteries go inside? Three LR44 batteries, each rated at 1.5V, providing the original 4.5V combined. They are included and readily available for repurchase.

The shutter still doesn't respond—what could be the reason? After decades, the contacts in these cameras' battery compartments are often corroded, or the wiring inside the housing may have deteriorated. Clean the contacts first. If the problem persists, it is not caused by the power supply.
