Battery type V19PX: Compatible cameras

The V19PX (also PX19, Eveready 531, RPX19, A19PX or EPX19) is a cylindrical 4.5-volt battery with snap connectors, similar to those on a 9-volt block battery, just in a different shape. Polaroid used it in Land Cameras of the Automatic series. There it powers the shutter and the light metering; without it, neither works. The original battery is hardly available anymore today.

The Polaroid Automatic 100, 101, 102, 220, 225, 230, 240, 250, 340 and 355, each with one battery. All are listed in the table above. Watch out for similar numbers: the 330 needs the PX24 (Eveready 532) with 3 volts, whereas the 340 takes the V19PX. The Automatic 103, 104, 125, 135, 210, 215, 315, 320, 420, 430 and 440 as well as the Countdown 70 and M60 also run on one PX24. The Automatic 335, 350, 360 and 450 as well as the Countdown 90 and M80 need two PX24. All PX24 cameras are listed on the PX24 page.

With a battery adapter in the Eveready 531 format that holds three standard LR44 button cells at 1.5 volts each, giving 4.5 volts in total, just like the original. At Ausgeknipst it is available as the PX19 battery adapter. The three LR44 cells are included and can be bought again anywhere.
