Description
This adapter makes hunting for overpriced specialty batteries unnecessary. It combines four standard button cells into a 6V block that matches a V28PX or 4SR44 exactly in its mechanical dimensions. In the battery compartment of your medium format or 35mm camera, it sits just like the original cell.
For cameras like the Pentax 67 or Canon A series, we recommend the SR44 version, as silver oxide cells keep their voltage stable right to the end. LR44 cells are the backup solution for emergencies, available at any drugstore.
Installation note
On some cameras, the camera's contact pin slips into the opening of the eyelet on the adapter instead of pressing on a battery contact. The camera then gets no power, and the adapter can get stuck when you take it out. In that case, turn the cells in the adapter by 180° and insert the adapter rotated by 180° as well. The polarity stays the same, but the pin hits a battery contact directly.

Which cameras is this adapter sleeve intended for? For all bodies that take a 6V V28PX, 4SR44, PX28 or 4LR44. Tested with the Pentax 67, Canon AE-1 and Mamiya RZ67.
LR44 or SR44, which should I choose? LR44 cells are alkaline and cheaper, SR44 cells are silver oxide and keep their voltage constant for longer. For the Pentax 67 with its power-hungry shutter, the silver oxide version with SR44 is worth it.
How many cells do I need per load? Four, and they come included with the adapter version. You can get replacements from us as a refill pack with four SR44 or anywhere in stores.

Avoid. It's not the same as in the photo. See images and review.
Unusable. The adapter arrived is not the one in the photo. The metal contact has a much larger diameter (hole) and gets stuck with the tab in the camera housing (see images below), compromising the removal of the entire battery pack and risking damage to the camera body.
Absolutely useless. Not recommended.
Inutilizzabile. L'adattatore arrivato non è quello della foto. Il contatto metallico ha un diametro (buco) molto più grande (vedi foto allegate) e si incastra con la linguetta nell'alloggio della macchina compromettendo l'estrazione di tutto il blocco batteria e rischiando di danneggiare il corpo macchina.

Had the same problem as Paolo Martino. The bottom hole of the adapter is way to big and the metal part of the adapter keeps the negative side of the batteries from touching its counterpart on the camera. (I tried the adapter with two Canon F1s and one Canon A-1, neither oft them had a pin long enough to touch the battery). So it didn't work. What helped was to put a tiny piece of Alufoil into the adapter first before filling in the batteries. Afterwards, the camera-pin touches the alu, which touches the batteries - and electicity flows!

Hi, thanks for describing exactly where the contact fails. On some cameras the contact pin slips into the opening of the eyelet instead of pressing on a cell. Instead of foil there is a simpler fix: turn both the cells and the adapter by 180°, so the pin lands directly on a battery contact with the same polarity. If your Canons still don't power up that way, write to info@ausgeknipst.de for a new adapter or a refund against return.
