Description

The permanently installed take-up spool of the Leicaflex is its well-known weak point: Over the years, the original spool sleeve becomes brittle and crumbles until the film leader can no longer grip and the camera can no longer advance the film. Unlike the Leica M or CL, the spool cannot be removed, and Leica has not supplied an original replacement part for decades.

This repair spool is deliberately not a complete replacement spool, but an attachment for your existing spool: It restores the clamping function without removing the spool or requiring a workshop repair. It comes in a 2-pack—one spool for installation and one as a spare or for a second camera. Made in Germany in Würzburg; each part is checked for a proper fit before shipping.
