  • Delivers the correct measuring voltage: The zinc-air battery replaces the no longer available 1.35V mercury battery PX625 with 1.4V and keeps the light meter within the correct measuring range.
  • Centers the battery in the compartment: The rubber ring positions the smaller 675 cell centrally in the larger PX625 battery compartment.
  • Accurate measurements instead of misexposure: Unlike common 1.5V alkaline cells, the voltage is close to the original 1.35V, ensuring correct readings.

Description

Original mercury batteries of type PX625 with 1.35V are no longer available. Using a modern 1.5V alkaline cell instead results in distorted readings and thus misexposures. This adapter solves that: the rubber ring centers a smaller 675 cell in the battery compartment, and the zinc-air battery delivers 1.4V, close to the original voltage. This way, your camera’s light meter works again with the correct values.

Please note: Zinc-air batteries are activated by removing the sticker and require air to operate. After activation, they have a lifespan of about 3 to 6 months.
