For the battery in your Yashica Electro 35, including the GS, GSN, GT, GTN, and MG-1, this adapter is the direct replacement: instead of the no-longer-available PX32 (E164) mercury oxide battery, it accepts a standard 4LR44 cell. Measuring 17.1 mm x 44.9 mm, it fits in the original battery compartment without modification. At 6.0 V, the voltage is slightly higher than the original 5.6 V, but the electronics of the Yashica Electro series and most other compatible cameras can handle this tolerance and work perfectly.
