Description
This battery adapter replaces the no longer available PX23 cell (also known as S23PX or V23PX) with four common LR44 or SR44 batteries in the original form factor. This battery size was standard in various analog cameras, flash units such as the Retina S2 and audio equipment such as the Sennheiser K3U; as a mercury version, it is no longer available today.
The original mercury cells delivered 5,6 V; with modern batteries, the adapter outputs 6,0 V. In our experience, the electronics of the devices mentioned handle this slightly higher voltage without any problems. The housing is made in-house in Germany.
Frequently asked questions
How do button cells add up to 6 volts? Four LR44 or SR44 cells sit directly on top of each other in the adapter and, connected in series, produce the 6V of the original PX23. The four cells are included.
Will the adapter fit my device? It measures 15.24 x 20.5 mm, matching the original PX23. If you're not sure whether your device used this cell, write to us and tell us which model you have.
LR44 or SR44, does it make a difference? SR44 are silver oxide and keep their voltage constant for longer, LR44 are alkaline and cheaper. Both fit the same adapter.
