Description
The light seal around the viewing window on the camera back lets you read the loaded film without letting light into the body. After decades, however, the original foam seal around it often disintegrates. Sticky crumbs then end up in the body or on the emulsion, and wherever gaps form, you get light leaks: light falling directly onto the film, leaving red streaks on your pictures.
This replacement seal made of durable EVA foam sticks in the same place and fits the Leica R series as well as many premium compact cameras from Contax, Ricoh or Konica right away. Since the window dimensions are similar on many analog cameras, you can trim it with scissors for slightly different bodies. You get two pieces, so you have one spare or one for your second camera.
