If you use the SMC Pentax-A 645 45mm f/2.8, you know the problem with the original RH-RA70 hood: it only slips on and tends to come loose or get lost. We solved this design flaw by giving the hood a 67mm thread. It screws directly into the lens's filter thread and sits there absolutely securely. Made from engineering plastic, it is sturdy enough for everyday use and reliably protects the front element.
