Compatibility

Not limited to specific camera models: The adapter is glued on and only requires a flat surface on the top cover of the camera body — tested on our Leica M3. Accessories with a standard cold shoe mount can be attached, including:

  • External light meters with cold shoe mount
  • Attachable viewfinders
  • Spirit levels and other cold shoe accessories

Description

This cold shoe adapter expands your camera with a second accessory shoe, allowing you to use an external light meter and an external viewfinder at the same time. It is glued onto the camera body and provides two cold shoe mounts side by side, onto which you slide both devices. The distance of approx. 32 mm keeps meter and viewfinder apart.

The cold shoe is passive and transmits nothing electrically; it serves purely as a holder. We tested the adapter on our Leica M3.

Note: The 3M adhesive tape holds strongly, but the mounted accessories should be lightweight. Flash units or other accessories with a large lever are not suitable for the glued adapter — it is intended for lightweight attachable accessories like light meters, viewfinders, or spirit levels.
