- A replacement for your lost body cap: it closes off the open mount of your Leica M6, M10 or M11 and keeps dust away from the shutter curtain whenever no lens is fitted (full list below).
- Goes on just like a lens: line up the dot on the rim of the cap with the red dot on the mount, twist, and the four bayonet lugs hold it in place.
- Flat front with a grip rim: it protrudes just 4 mm beyond the mount, and the knurled edge gives you a firm hold as you twist it.

Description
A body cap belongs on your Leica M as soon as the lens comes off: when you change lenses on the go, when you send the camera off for servicing, or when the body sits in a cupboard without a lens. Original caps have a habit of going missing, and this one replaces yours.
We developed this cap on a Leica M8 and checked the fit on that camera. The ring on the back sits only where a lens would have its own mount, and it doesn’t touch the rangefinder roller. The cap has no detent for the locking pin; it is held in place by the four bayonet lugs.
