Description

With this modular system, you digitize 35mm small format negatives – including the perforation (sprocket holes) – using a DSLR or mirrorless camera. The Base Plate guides the film through a channel with a dual S-curve that keeps the strip flat across the entire width. The film is only touched at the two edges, leaving the image area free. You can remove the magnetic Top Plate with one hand: insert the film, snap it in, done. Even short film strips and single frames fit without threading.

Compared to a solution that only uses a sprocket top on a standard base, this set guides the film across the entire perforation width during normal 35mm scans – not just at the edges. This way, the film lies evenly flat in both scan modes: with and without visible perforation.

The system grows with your workflow: from the basic entry with a Top Plate to the Pro Set with CineStill CS-LITE, Adapter Plate, and Lens Hood, up to the complete scanning station with Copy Stand MK2. Additional Top Plates for Half Frame and Panorama X-Pan are available individually.
