Note for MIVALO users: If you use the Durst-MIVALO punch registration system for Contact Masks, your original Durst masks with pin cutouts remain the right choice. These masks are made for the standard enlarging workflow.

Description

The Femoneg negative holder guides the film between two mask halves that press it flat into the image plane: one upper, one lower. Without both parts, the film does not sit stably; especially 35mm film tends to curl, which affects the sharpness of the enlargement.

Original Durst Femomasks are only available as secondhand pairs and are often incomplete in collections. The symmetrical design solves this: you either buy a complete new pair or reorder just the missing half individually. Made in the Ausgeknipst Manufaktur in Würzburg.
