Description

If you use a Minolta XK or XM Motor, you know the problem: The snap hooks of the battery compartment cover give way over time and break off. Together with SilvergrainClassics, we not only recreated the part but also improved the actual weak point.

With the help of materials scientists, we identified material creep as the main cause of the breaks. The V2 is designed thicker and made from carbon fiber-reinforced plastic, so it lasts longer than the original cover. Shorter springs relieve constant pressure from the hooks, and the small protruding pin prevents you from inserting the cover the wrong way around.
