Old M42 lenses can withstand a lot, but the rear side with the rear lens element is exposed as soon as the original cap is missing. We manufacture this rear cap specifically for the M42 standard; it keeps dust and scratches away from classics such as the Helios-44 or Takumar 50 mm. Simply screw it on and you're done.
