Description

Obliquely incident light hits the front lens in backlight or side sunlight and creates a veil over the image. You screw the hood directly into the 55mm filter thread of your lens and block this stray light before it reaches the glass.

It is sized so that it causes no shading in the corners of the image with classic standard focal lengths between 50mm and 57mm. Additionally, it acts as a buffer in front of the front lens, protecting the glass from shocks and scratches.
