Description

A filter adapter is practically essential for your Rolleiflex 2.8: The Planar and Xenotar lenses were among the best of their time, but the proprietary Bay III bayonet makes finding filters difficult and expensive. This adapter adds a standard filter thread in front of the bayonet, allowing you to use regular screw-in filters.

The adapter locks into the inner bayonet of the taking lens. This lets you use modern, coated filters that are often optically superior to the old originals—for example, contrast filters for black-and-white photography or ND filters for long exposures. Since the adapter only occupies the inner bayonet, a lens hood attached to the outer bayonet remains usable.
