  • Replacement for the banned PX25: The original mercury batteries (V25PX) are banned. This adapter replicates their shape in the battery compartment.
  • Standard button cells instead of a special battery: Operates with 3 standard LR44 or SR44 (AG13) batteries.
  • Voltage remains within range: 3 cells provide 4.5 V instead of the original 4.05 V. The Kiev 60 and most other devices tolerate the slight increase without any problems.

Description

The original PX25 was a mercury battery and is now banned. This adapter, manufactured in-house, replicates its shape: insert 3 button cells, place the adapter in the battery compartment, and you're done. It establishes the electrical contact.

Frequently asked questions

Are batteries included? No, this adapter is supplied without cells. You need three LR44 or SR44 batteries, which are widely available.

Does the adapter fit my Kiev prism? It is designed for the TTL prisms of the Kiev 60 and 6S and replaces the PX25, V25PX, RPX25, A25PX, and EPX25 types. If you're unsure which cell your prism used, send us a photo of the battery compartment.

Why three cells? Three 1.5 V cells provide the same voltage as the original 3RZ5. Silver-oxide cells maintain a more stable voltage than alkaline cells.
