Description
This adapter puts your Fuji GX680 back to work. Instead of relying on rare or aging original batteries, you load the holder with six standard AA NiMH rechargeables. The insert slides into the camera in place of the original battery cassette and sits snugly in the compartment.
Pro tip: Buy two adapters straight away and keep one loaded with AA rechargeables. When the first one runs flat on set, slide in the second and you’re good to go.

- Put six AA rechargeables into the adapter and fit the cover.
- Slide the adapter into the camera’s battery compartment in place of the original battery cassette. Press it in firmly with both palms until you hear it click into place. The contact springs are stiff, so it takes some force the first few times.
- You don’t need to remove the adapter to change batteries: just take off the cover, swap the batteries and put the cover back on.
- Charge the AA rechargeables in a separate AA charger.

“The camera isn’t responding. What could be causing this?”
- No contact: clean the contacts with a metal object, such as a flat-head screwdriver or a key.
- Cell too thick or spring too weak: push the cells into position by hand until they make contact at both ends.
- Faulty camera: Use a multimeter to measure the voltage at the adapter’s contacts. If you read roughly the rated voltage, the problem is most likely in the camera, not the adapter. If there’s no voltage or noticeably less, check the cells, the polarity and the contacts inside the adapter.
“Why does the camera only work with certain rechargeables or batteries?”
Cells differ in voltage, capacity and internal resistance. With older equipment, use high-quality NiMH rechargeables with low internal resistance, such as the Varta Recharge Accu Power AA 2600 mAh. Otherwise the camera may malfunction.
